What is the maximum distance between the rover and the reference station, so that accuracy is maintained in the range of 2 - 5 cm in GEO-RTK measuring?
GeoNet utilize so-called network solutions: VRS, MAX, FKP, which helps to maintain measuring accuracy within 50km radius of the nearest reference station.
For example: in VRS solution the system generates a virtual station, located at a distance of several meters off the rover. By definition, the horizontal accuracy in RTK mode with a single reference station is about 1cm plus 1 PPM. Where PPM is a parameter, depending on the length of the base line (the vertical accuracy is about 2cm plus 1 PPM). This means that the accuracy in GEO-RTK mode is greater than the accuracy when using regular single reference station. This is because one of the factors affecting the error accumulation is removed, i.e. the value of PPM. When the rover is disconnected or moved at a distance greater than 5km away from the virtual station, the system automatically generates a new station to ensure maintenance of precise solution.
